Female WWE star shares rare throwback photo with Bayley from 12 years ago

WWE Superstar Bayley is currently in her second run as the Women’s Champion. The Role Model has enjoyed a long run with the Stamford-based promotion and has earned the honor of being one of the ‘Four Horsewomen of WWE’. Interestingly, a 35-year-old star recently shared a rare throwback photo with The Hugger dating 12 years back when she began her WWE career.

Mia Yim and Bayley have been good friends throughout their pro wrestling careers. Yim, aka Michin, recently moved to Friday Night SmackDown to compete with The Hugger on the same brand once again. Interestingly, she shared two photos via a tweet on X and compared the looks of Bayley and herself to their younger selves in 2012.

“Who would’ve thought? Not me! #WWE #smackdown,” wrote Mia Yim.

Notably, The Women's Champion signed her WWE contract the same year, following which she made her main roster debut on July 24, 2016. While she initially fought as a luchadora and hid her face, she is one of WWE’s biggest faces today. Interestingly, the babyface will soon enter one of her most difficult title defense matches at SummerSlam against two prominent heels right now.

Will Bayley get cornered once again at SummerSlam?

The July 12, 2024, episode of Friday Night SmackDown saw Bayley share the ring with Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton. Notably, The Hugger lost her cool when Jax pushed her after saying she would victimize her at SummerSlam. But she got caught in a two-on-one situation. However, the one-sided beatdown soon ended when Michin entered the arena with a kendo stick to rescue her friend.

The Irresistible Force would challenge her at SummerSlam for the WWE Women’s Championship on August 3, 2024, in Cleveland. On the other hand, The Buff Barbie holds the pass to attack The Role Model anytime she pleases to take her title away. It would be interesting to see if she can survive these rough tides and if Michin looks out for her at SummerSlam as well.
