While CM Punk has had his share of controversies in the past, the Best in the World has been nothing short of exemplary since returning to WWE. The RAW Superstar has been a mentor to many rising stars on NXT and recently received praise from Cora Jade for his role in shaping her career.

Cora Jade is one of the youngest superstars on the WWE roster. She signed with the company in 2021 after competing on the independent circuit for a few years. The 23-year-old has stressed time and time again how big of an influence CM Punk and AJ Lee have been in her wrestling career.

The NXT Superstar reiterated the same during an interview with Scott Fishman of TV Insider, noting that it is amazing to have the Best in the World as her mentor:

“It’s very cool. I’ve been a fan of his since I was eight years old. He was my first-ever favorite wrestler. So, it’s weird but cool to just talk to him as a human being and ask him questions and just get advice."

She continued:

“Even just having lunch with him. You get the question if you were to have dinner with someone, alive or dead, who would it be? It would literally be him, so it’s crazy I get to live that and get help from him. He is the best in the world, so having him in my corner is literally the coolest. Eight-year-old me would never have dreamed that would be a thing." [H/T- wrestlezone]

CM Punk is currently on a hiatus from WWE

CM Punk was last seen in action at Bad Blood where he defeated Drew McIntyre in a Hell in a Cell match. While the Best in the World came out victorious, he was taken to his limit by the Scottish Warrior. Punk announced on RAW after the PLE that he was pretty banged up and would be taking some time off.

Punk is expected to return to WWE programming after Crown Jewel, with a feud against Gunther most likely on the cards. The Chicago native had one of the best feuds with Drew McIntyre and is expected to be involved in a program with Seth Rollins on the road to WrestleMania.
