The road to the 2025 Royal Rumble premium live event is officially underway. WWE legend John Cena became the first person to declare his entry into the 30-man Battle Royale match.

The Cenation Leader kicked off his farewell tour during the premiere episode of Monday Night RAW on Netflix last night. The 47-year-old WWE stalwart namedropped Drew McIntyre, CM Punk, Logan Paul, and Gunther, to name a few, as the potential list of opponents during his retirement tour.

John Cena also addressed possibly going after his 17th World Championship. However, he made it clear he doesn't see it happening anytime soon and brought up his 2446-day streak since he last won a singles match.

Despite having a disappointing record, Cena eventually mapped out how he could earn himself a World Championship shot. He said his path to the 17th world title is possible only if he wins the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble match. Therefore, he declared his participation in the 30-man battle royal on February 1.

After the show, John Cena took to his X/formerly Twitter handle to thank the audience and said he would see the WWE Universe next time in Indianapolis, which will play the host to 2025 Royal Rumble.

"Thank you Los Angeles, for everything. Indianapolis….. C U next!"

John Cena isn't the only one as CM Punk has also declared his entry into the Men's Royal Rumble match. The Second City Saint defeated Seth Rollins in a barnburner main event last night. It remains to be seen how the Triple H-led creative team books the angles going forward.
