WWE News: Finn Bálor discusses possible reunion with The Club

Founding Bullet Club members Finn Bálor and Karl Anderson with Doc Gallows

Since AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows debuted in the WWE, many fans who follow New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring of Honor were hoping that the members of the Bullet Club would reunite with their former leader Finn Bálor.

In an interview with Sam Roberts of the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast, Bálor discussed the possibility of reuniting with his former stable and stated that a reunion with Anderson and Gallows on Raw is not at the top of his priority list.

“Obviously, there is that link and that history. And I think that that’s always a possibility.

But I’ve kind of got my own things to handle first when I get back. I’m sure someday that will happen, we’ll get a little B.C. revival going on, but right now, right now, I’m just worried about getting healthy, man.

I haven’t thought about where I’m going to be. I just want to get back.”

Here’s a video of the interview:

Bálor made similar comments prior to his injury when he was on Chris Jericho’s podcast, Talk is Jericho, when he said he wanted to stand alone first before any possible reunions.

“I think it could happen eventually, but I don’t think it needs to happen right now.

I don’t think there’s any reason for it to happen right now. Fantasy booking, yeah, it’s a great idea, it’ll give me plenty of options. But I think for me right now, being my own entity is more important for myself, and for Gallows and Anderson.”

Bálor was injured at SummerSlam in his match against Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship. He suffered the injury early in the match when Rollins used a powerbomb to throw Bálor into the barricade.

Bálor would send a tweet out a week after SummerSlam detailing all the injuries he received such as a labrum tear, cartilage damage, and several other injuries.

It was originally believed that Bálor’s injury could fully heal within four months; just in time for him to make his Royal Rumble debut. However, upon further examination and the revelation of other injuries, his return after for recovery had been extended to six months at best.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bálor was supposed to be the champion for at least the first two Raw PPVs with his first opponent being Kevin Owens, who eventually won the WWE Universal Championship two weeks after Bálor relinquished it.

During Bálor’s recovery, he has made the rounds on various indy promotions such as his appearance replacing Mick Foley as a special guest enforcer for Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW)’s event Fear and Loathing IX and his appearance yesterday at Over the Top Wrestling in Ireland.

With AJ Styles as the WWE Champion and his NXT rival Kevin Owens as the Universal Champion, the WWE have a few different storyline options to go with upon Bálor’s inevitable return.
