WWE recently made a major announcement about its development program. This prompted Finn Balor to suggest to his employers.
In recent years, WWE has been focused on developing new talent. They have used NXT and the Performance Center as breeding grounds for young stars looking to become household names in the company.
Over the years, the company has successfully produced many major stars like Tiffany Stratton, Carmelo Hayes, and Bron Breakker. Recently, the Stamford-based promotion took it one step further and announced its new ID program, which aims to aid independent wrestlers and wrestling schools.
Since the announcement, several young wrestlers have been ID'd by the company. The program's official X page asked who should be ID'd next. Finn Balor took this opportunity to suggest Irish promotion OTT Wrestling and Matthew Bullett Smyth in particular.

Booker T gives his honest thoughts on ROW being a part of the WWE ID program
WWE ID will help independent wrestlers and wrestling schools by providing financial assistance, among other benefits, to provide an easier pathway to becoming a WWE Superstar.
When the announcement was made public, a few schools had already been given the ID designation. Among those were Booker T's Reality of Wrestling, Seth Rollins' Black and Brave Academy, Cody Rhodes' Nightmare Factory, Elite Pro Wrestling Training Center, and KnokX Pro Academy.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T opened up about ROW being part of the ID program. He said that they have been trying to become a developmental program for the Stamford-based promotion for years. They kept working hard, and it finally happened. He was excited at the prospect of shaping the next generation of wrestlers.
"Many, many years we've been working on becoming a developmental program for WWE and never knew if it was ever gonna happen or not but we just kept grinding man... we just going to keep trying to create the best we possibly can create and now 20 years, man, 20 years. That's why for me it's real. It's surreal as it possibly can be. I'm serious now in a position where we can really really help the next generation of young guys trying to get into this business as well as create a monster man and that is Reality of Wrestling."
It will be interesting to see if the Stamford-based promotion will take Finn Balor up on his advice.
