Finn Balor is certainly one of the most prominent stars in WWE at the moment. However, a veteran believes he has already peaked with another run in the same company that is unlikely to be topped again.
Finn was a major force behind the split on Judgment Day, which led to Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley parting ways with the stable. Since then, the new version of the faction has been at war with Rhea and Damian, now collectively called the Terror Twins. Before his role in Judgment Day, Finn had a very successful run in NXT, where he brought out his Demon persona for the first time.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, Vince Russo explained that the Demon alter-ego was Finn's best iteration yet. He said:
"That Demon was over bro, more over, he has done nothing close to that. I remember seeing that at NXT, and I remember first seeing that at NXT, like... The problem is that they don't know how to book stuff like that. They don't know how to book it. That Finn Balor as Finn Balor will never ever ever reach the heights that the Demon could have reached," the veteran said. [1:35 onwards]
The WWE veteran called Finn Balor a "good little hand" for programming
While Finn Balor is undoubtedly talented, Russo feels lost in the card because of how he is presented.
On the same episode of The Wrestling Outlaws, the veteran stated that despite the Judgment Day member's great physique and equally commendable attitude, he is not that important for WWE in the grand scheme of things.
"So he's gonna be bro, quite frankly, I am sure he is a heck of a guy. I am sure he is into Keto and all that good stuff, and he is also a good little hand. Let's be honest bro, he is a good little hand." [2:06 onwards]
As of now, it remains to be seen what is next for Finn Balor in WWE and how his match with Damian Priest at Bad Blood pans out.
