Former AEW wrestler Cody Rhodes has shared that going back to WWE rekindled his love for professional wrestling. He played a major role in the formation of All Elite Wrestling.
The American Nightmare served as an Executive Vice President for the promotion for three years. He and his wife Brandi Rhodes unexpectedly left in 2022 and he made a shocking return to WWE at WrestleMania 38, where he was revealed as Seth Rollins' mystery opponent. At The Grandest Stage of Them All this past April, he finally accomplished his dream of winning the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Speaking to The Miz on the latest edition of What Do You Want To Talk About?, Cody Rhodes stated that after he left AEW and went back to WWE, he not only rekindled his love for wrestling, but it also rekindled his feeling of being a main eventer.
"By the time I came back at WrestleMania, my feeling was, 'I think I'll be well-received, but I might also be booed as the guy who went away and did all these things.' I would never say I was just happy to be there [in AEW], but at that point in my career, it was about providing for my family and the best thing for my family. Then, as soon as I came back, instance to walking out, it had rekindled, not just my love for pro wrestling, but it rekindled the feeling of 'I can get to the top. It's not lost yet. I still have a shot at it,'" said Rhodes. (H/T Fightful)

Could the Undisputed WWE Championship return to The Bloodline at SummerSlam?
The American Nightmare's next title defense will take place at SummerSlam this Saturday. He will put the coveted championship on the line against Solo Sikoa. Solo wants to bring the belt back to The Bloodline, and he has people to help him accomplish that.
He recruited Tonga Loa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga, who are all sadists. They will most likely interfere in the match to help Solo Sikoa win. However, Cody Rhodes could have backup of his own in Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. It'll be interesting to see what transpires at the event.
