Former champion sends threat to Drew McIntyre following WWE SummerSlam win

A popular WWE Superstar shared a fan's message on social media following SummerSlam and seemingly sent a threat to Drew McIntyre. The Premium Live Event aired last night at Cleveland Browns Stadium and featured six title matches.

Karrion Kross is a former NXT Champion but was not booked for this year's SummerSlam. The Final Testament leader has been trying to convince Xavier Woods to leave The New Day in recent weeks on RAW and defeated him in a singles match this past Monday night on the red brand.

A wrestling fan took to social media to note that Karrion Kross returned to the company two years ago after being released in 2021. The veteran attacked Drew McIntyre during his return to the company in 2022. Kross is a two-time NXT Champion but has never captured a title during his time on WWE's main roster. Drew McIntyre defeated CM Punk in a singles match last night at WWE SummerSlam.

Wrestling legend comments on Karrion Kross' run in WWE

Wrestling veteran Konnan recently commented on Karrion Kross' run in the promotion and wondered if he was a victim of poor booking.

Speaking on a recent episode of his Keepin' It 100 podcast, Konnan and Disco Inferno discussed Kross not appearing on Premium Live Events. The former WCW star claimed Kross was a professional but may be suffering from bad booking and bad luck.

"It's so weird 'cause he [Karrion Kross] did one or two matches with Rey [Mysterio], that was over. He did a couple of matches with Drew McIntyre, that was over. I know he doesn't have heat cause he's a model wrestler. He's an intelligent wrestler. He's a professional; he comes in on time. I don't know if it's bad luck or bad booking with bad luck. Kross is currently the leader of The Final Testament faction alongside The Authors of Pain, Scarlett Bordeaux, and Paul Ellering on WWE RAW. It will be interesting to see if the company has anything substantial planned for the 39-year-old following his absence at SummerSlam.
