Cody Rhodes' feud with The Bloodline carried over to the live circuit as the Undisputed WWE Champion defended his title against Solo Sikoa in a Steel Cage Match at a house show in Cardiff. While The American Nightmare did not have the numbers advantage heading into the match, #DIY came out to aid him and make sure he walked out with the title.

Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa have been at odds with The Bloodline over the last few weeks. The duo even challenged Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa for the WWE Tag Team Championship in a triple-threat match also consisting of The Street Profits. However, the heel duo managed to retain the title after a hard-fought match.

However, the feud between the two sides looks far from over as DIY joined forces with Randy Orton at last night's live event to defeat Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa. The former NXT Tag Team Champions also came out to help Cody Rhodes when the Tonga duo tried to interfere in his Steel Cage Match against Solo Sikoa later on in the night.

After Gargano and Ciampa took out the current tag team champions, The American Nightmare delivered three Cross Rhodes to The Bloodline leader to pick up the victory.

WWE legend wants Cody Rhodes to turn heel

Cody Rhodes has been one of WWE's top babyfaces since returning to the company in 2022. While the company has been seemingly trying to build him as the 'next John Cena', many have expressed their desire to see The American Nightmare turn heel.

WWE legend Rikishi also stated the same, noting that he doesn't see Rhodes being comfortable as a babyface. The WWE Hall of Famer added that he is excited about the former AEW EVP's potential heel turn.

"I don't think he's [Cody Rhodes] comfortable being a babyface. He does everything, like fantastic in the ring. But it's just something about that kid. The day he turns heel man, I'm going to be happy for him because now he is just going to let loose on everybody," Rikishi said.

However, the heel turn is unlikely to take place soon as Cody is currently embroiled in a feud with Kevin Owens, who recently turned on him. The American Nightmare is also expected to work on a program with The Rock next year.
