On the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano competed in a tag team match against Pretty Deadly. The bout didn't last very long, and a heel turn was teased.

Two weeks ago on the blue brand, DIY collided with The Motor City Machine Guns in a no.1 contender's match for the WWE Tag Team Championship, and were unsuccessful. Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin went on to capture the titles.

During a backstage segment on SmackDown this week, Johnny Gargano had a friendly conversation with MCMG, where he praised them, discussed a potential future match, and wished them luck in their upcoming bout against A-Town Down Under. However, Ciampa was not happy that his partner was being nice to the champions, and accused them of stealing their spot.

Tommaso Ciampa then told Gargano that they were going to make an example out of Pretty Deadly and tell the Guns that they wanted their WWE Tag Team Titles back. However, during the match, something interesting happened. Tommaso Ciampa started the match, and he finished it as well, all on his own, in just a few minutes.

He did not tag in Johhny Gargano at all, and he still seemed angry, which is unusual for a babyface. This could be a tease that Ciampa, or both stars, could turn heel soon.
