WWE recently released several superstars from its roster. One of them was also a former United States Champion. That would be Baron Corbin. Following this, The Lone Wolf recently admitted that this was a big mistake by the Stamford-based company.

Baron wrestled on the SmackDown brand alongside his tag team partner, Apollo Crews. The former King of the Ring was one of the underutilized veteran talents under the creative leadership of Triple H. Wrestle Ops recently tweeted a screenshot of a fan comment saying that WWE "fumbled the bag" by letting Corbin go.

Interestingly, the 40-year-old star replied to the comment made on Instagram and agreed with the fan.

"I appreciate that and feel the same," Baron Corbin replied to a fan.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

The Lone Wolf made his WWE debut in 2012 and entered the main roster in 2016. He was sent to NXT after he acquired a free agent status and won the NXT Tag Team Championship alongside Bron Breakker. This year, he was brought back to the main roster and while The Big Bad Booty Nephew is the reigning Intercontinental Champion, Corbin was still not featured on WWE programming.

Baron Corbin has already received a new offer from a former WWE Superstar

As soon as the news of Baron Corbin’s release went public, pro wrestling circles started to speculate which promotion would be his next destination. Interestingly, former WWE Superstar Tyrus immediately reached out to the 40-year-old star on X/Twitter and asked him to get in touch for some offers:

“@BaronCorbinWWE yo hit me up… Got some other doors to show you !"

Notably, the former United States Champion wanted to get in the title race once again ahead of his release. Corbin will now have to wait for 90 days till his non-compete clause expires. Considering his technical abilities and the fact that he retired Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 35, he will probably get many good offers.

It would be interesting to see what the future holds for The Lone Wolf.
