WWE as a company has gotten to a point, where they have learned to utilize major box office draws of the past in some form or fashion after their retirements. Sometimes, a big name simply needs to be advertised and show up for a segment.
While the same treatment has not always been the case for female athletes, there are quite a few wrestlers who still have a fan following. One such name is former WWE Women's Champion Candice Michelle.
During a recent virtual signing hosted by K&S WrestleFest, Candice Michelle took notice of an old action figure of hers, which led to her admitting she wants a legends contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. She informed fans that her action figures would only be sold if she had the said contract.
"We also have one figure left too. $80 for each of those. Also very hard to find nowadays unless they give me a Legends deal. Hint, hint, WWE. But until then, these are the old school ones that we know. They’re just really hard to get," she said. [From 23:54 to 24:12]

After being signed to WWE for five years, during which she became the Women's Champion once, Candice Michelle was released in 2009. Candice has since made sporadic appearances, even winning the now-defunct 24/7 Championship in 2019.
Candice Michelle was at WWE RAW in August 2024; Triple H said, "Welcome home"
Last year, the former Women's Champion opened up about why she has not returned to the Stamford-based promotion. She spoke extensively about raising three children and how that was the bigger priority in her life.
Candice also noted how not being active on social media unlike other former wrestlers did not help matters. However, she concluded the discussion by saying that when the time comes, she will be back.
On the August 12, 2024, episode of RAW, Candice Michelle made an unannounced one-off appearance. She was seen in the crowd during the Women's Tag Team Championship number one contender's match between Damage CTRL and the team of Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark.
Talking about her return, albeit for one night only, Candice revealed that WWE CCO Triple H welcomed her "home." She also added that it actually felt like being back home.
