A former WWE World Champion recently made a comeback on Monday Night RAW after a three-month-long hiatus. The 42-year-old notably signed a new deal with the Stamford-based promotion and made a comeback on her family’s home turf. The star in question is Natalya who delighted the crowd of Calgary, Alberta with a surprise appearance.

Nattie entered the arena as the mystery tag team partner of Zelina Vega and Lyra Valkyria to fight against Pure Fusion Collective. Notably, she ultimately proved to be the X-factor in the match as she forced Zoey Stark to submit via a sharpshooter. Complimenting the hometown hero, Vega and Valkyria also held Sonya Deville and Shayna Baszler down in Boston Crab holds.

Following the match, Natalya spoke on WWE’s RAW Talk where she talked about her comeback experience. The former World Champion noted that it was a surreal experience for her and mentioned how the Calgary arena harbors several good memories for her.

“Tonight was surreal, this building where my family made so many memories. The last time we were all here together was in the 1997 In Your House pay-per-view, in 1997 in this building it was my very first time in a WWE ring. So, to be able to come back to Calgary, which we call Hart country, it was so special and I’ll never ever be able to thank the Calgary fans enough to make me feel so welcome at home. I’m gonna soak up every ounce of this because moments of this come once in a lifetime.” (H/T Ringside News)

A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.

WWE legend Bret Hart was also present in Calgary, Alberta

While Natalya made her highly anticipated return to the Stamford-based promotion, another Hart dynasty wrestler, Bret Hart also made an appearance on RAW. The WWE Hall of Famer spoke to the fans of Calgary, Alberta, who welcomed the Canadian wrestling legend wholeheartedly. In contrast to this warm reception, Gunther entered the arena and disrespected Hart.

The WWE World Heavyweight Champion was seemingly praising The Hitman when he first started to speak. However, he later made a snide remark by saying that he was Gunther’s second favorite wrestler since his favorite wrestler was Bill Goldberg.

Following this, Sami Zayn made an entrance and shunned Gunther for his cheap insults and later broke into a brawl with the champion. Notably, The Imperium leader has still not accepted Zayn’s challenge to put his title on the line. It will be interesting to see if the two rivals get into another title match following Zayn’s Intercontinental Championship win at WrestleMania XL.
