CM Punk has been on the receiving end of Drew McIntyre's mind games ever since The Scottish Warrior injured him during the Men's Royal Rumble match earlier this year. It's ultimately led to a personal feud between the pair, but now, with the 2024 Olympics currently in full swing, McIntyre believes he's a gold medalist at messing with Punk.
This past weekend at WWE SummerSlam 2024, Punk and McIntyre clashed with Seth Rollins serving as special guest referee. That bout ended with McIntyre's arm being raised. Two nights later on WWE RAW, McIntyre mocked Punk by taunting him with the personalized bracelet that became a key element of their SummerSlam collision.
Taking to social media, McIntyre posted a picture of American gymnast Simone Biles, holding up the various medals she earned at the 2024 Olympics, and told the world that he would have achieved something similar if manipulating Punk's emotions was deemed an Olympic sport.
"Me if f***ing with CM Punk was an Olympic sport," Drew McIntyre wrote on X.
It's certainly not over between McIntyre and Punk, with rumors suggesting that the pair could collide in a barbaric match type very soon.
Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk 2 rumored for WWE Bad Blood 2024
According to a recent report, a rematch between McIntyre and Punk is being planned for the revived Bad Blood event on October 5, 2024. Notably, it's been suggested that the rivals will settle their feud in a Hell in a Cell match, which would ultimately headline the show.
McIntyre and Punk's feud certainly warrants a gigantic payoff, such as a Hell in a Cell match, and fans will find out if that feud-ending bout comes to fruition over the next few weeks.
