Former WWE writer Vince Russo recently discussed how the company has been booking its current babyfaces. The stars are gearing up for Survivor Series this Saturday, one of WWE's big four premium live events.
The latest episode of RAW was an important pit stop ahead of Survivor Series. Damian Priest once again destroyed Gunther with a Razor's Edge on the announcer's table. Bianca Belair also grabbed the advantage for her team at WarGames by defeating Nia Jax in a singles contest.
This week on Legion of RAW, Vince Russo was confused about why the babyfaces had the upper hand heading into the event. He didn't understand why Priest had to dominate Gunther throughout the rivalry.
The veteran writer had the old-school view that the heels needed to get heat before the major event and would be finally vanquished by the babyfaces when they collided.
Former WWE writer buries Judgment Day HERE
"Going into Survivor Series, I don't understand why any of the babies would be up. I don't know why Damian Priest would be up, I don't know why the women's team would be getting the advantage. I don't understand this kind of booking. I understand heat, heat, heat, heat. Babyfaces aren't supposed to get the advantage. I don't understand this psychology." [From 4:40 onwards]
