This week’s episode of WWE SmackDown saw a former champion blaming his tag team partner for putting him in a dangerous situation. In his frustration, he also disrespected his opponent, Kevin Owens, and questioned his status as the number-one contender for the Undisputed WWE Championship. However, The Prizefighter walked right behind him as the 34-year-old continued his rambling.
Austin Theory spoke to WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis about getting a match with Kevin Owens. Theory tried to give Grayson Waller a push after they failed to become the number-one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship. However, the fixture didn’t sit right with The Aussie, as he complained about Theory throwing him under a bus in a backstage segment.
To boost his morale, Austin Theory said that the match wasn’t that difficult and he could do it. Waller got carried away and called Kevin Owens “an easy dub.” He stopped only when KO placed his hand on his shoulder. Following this, Owens sarcastically said that Waller should beat him and prove himself right.

Grayson Waller entered the arena as Kevin Owens waited for him. While he had already provoked The Prizefighter, he tore a poster of KO before entering the ring. However, the match wasn’t as easy as Waller thought it would be. While The Aussie did have his moments, he was flattened with a Pop-Up Powerbomb and pinned by Owens.
Not done with him, The Prizefighter screamed that he would show him ‘The Old KO’ as he demolished him. Theory was quick to act and save his partner. He entered the ring with two chairs to destroy Owens but was interrupted by Cody Rhodes.
The American Nightmare and The Prizefighter fought Waller and Theory, successfully warding them off. However, as Rhodes went to get his championship belt, Owens picked the title first. KO later handed the title to Rhodes and walked out, showcasing that he was finally serious. It would be interesting to see the two allies fight for the Undisputed WWE Title at Bash in Berlin.
