Former WWE Champion assaulted by top heel faction on RAW

On the latest WWE Monday Night RAW episode, Xavier Woods was involved in a match against Karrion Kross. After the bout, he and his tag team partner, Kofi Kingston, were attacked by the heel star and his villainous group.

The Final Testament and The New Day have been feuding for quite some time. The Harbinger of Doom has been trying to cause a rift between the two babyfaces for weeks. Woods hit the latter with several chops before he was hit with a chop in the corner and taken out with a modified suplex.

The New Day member sent Karrion Kross to the floor and hit him with several chops at ringside. The Doomwalker then powerbombed Woods into the ringpost. The two stars exchanged strikes in the ring, and Woods nailed Kross with a superkick.

Karrion Kross then took down his opponent with a headbutt. Xavier Woods hit Kross with an enzuigiri, but the latter caught him with a right hand after he came off the ropes. Woods went for the inside cradle and got the three-count on WWE RAW.

After the match, AOP attacked The New Day. Kofi Kingston tried to hit Akam and Rezar with a suicide dive, but Karrion Kross intercepted and took out the former WWE Champion with a right hand. Kross then locked Kofi in a submission hold and nearly broke his arm.
