A former WWE Superstar recently shared his honest opinion about a particular type of match. The name in question, Raj Dhesi (fka Jinder Mahal), established that he is not a fan of Punjabi Prison Matches.
The unique cage match consists of two massive bamboo structures. A superstar must escape both cages before their opponent to secure the win. The match concept is so rare that WWE has had only three Punjabi Prison Matches ever.
Jinder Mahal participated in one of the three matches, in which he successfully defended the WWE Championship against Randy Orton at Battleground 2017 after interference from The Great Khali.
The 38-year-old recently shared his honest opinion about the gimmick match while speaking to Chris Van Vliet. He referred to it as terrible and pointed out the issues with having two bamboo cages:

"The Punjabi Prison match s*cks. It's terrible. It's so hard. The inside cage is the blue old-school cage. You can hit it as hard as possible, and it won't even make a noise. It's terrible. And then just the crowd reaction. They couldn't really see, the people in the arena. There's two cages when we're on the inside, there's two cages, they really couldn't see. It was just painful. Kendo sticks. Chairshots. Everything," he said. [From 36:10 to 36:48]

WWE Hall of Famer believes Jinder Mahal could be headed to AEW
The Modern Day Maharaja was released from his contract earlier this year alongside Indus Sher. His last in-ring appearance was in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the SmackDown before WrestleMania XL.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T. speculated that Jinder Mahal might be looking to make his way to the Florida-based wrestling promotion. The former World Champion pointed out that Mahal recently said some kind words about Tony Khan.
"I see Jinder lobbying, man, trying to, you know, perhaps move towards being All Elite. He made some kind comments towards Tony Khan, that's a start. That's a start. That's where you want to start, right? As well as, of course, Jinder Mahal can go anywhere in the world and work." [From 10:59 to 11:22]
Jinder Mahal made his first appearance outside the Stamford-based company in GCW on July 19. It will be interesting to see if he signs with AEW going forward.
