A former WWE Superstar recently detailed the women's division not being afforded a major opportunity during her time with the company. The star in question has not competed in a match since 2015.
Layla recently discussed the company deciding not to introduce the Women's Tag Team Championship during her time in the promotion. In an interview on They Made Their Way To The Ring, the veteran noted that no matter how hard they pushed for it, the company was against bringing tag titles to the women's division at the time.
“I think there was talk about it. At that time, they didn’t really want to put too much energy into the Divas and the women. It was like, ‘No, we have two titles. We’re just going to go with that.’ It was never anything that would have happened. I know that for a fact. No matter how much we would have pushed, that was something that was not on the table and not possible to attain. It’s a shame because it could have been pretty good and funny. Could you imagine the stables and teams we could have had?" said Layla. [H/T: Fightful]

Layla reacts to not being a part of the WWE Hall of Fame
Former WWE superstar Layla recently shared her thoughts on not being a part of the company's Hall of Fame.
During the interview on the They Made Their Way to the Ring podcast, the former Divas Champion discussed not being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Layla noted that she would be honored to be inducted but added that she would be okay if it never happened.
"Of course, it would be a stamp of approval for my career or that my career was significant in WWE. I’m okay, and I’m trying to say this in a politically correct way because I don’t want to offend anybody. I’m okay if I don’t get inducted into the Hall of Fame. I feel there are many wrestlers that should be that haven’t been. If that isn’t for me, I totally understand that. I’m okay walking away and saying I have a great WWE career, I was able to see everything I saw, and have the life experiences that I had. I’m okay with it." (H/T Fightful)
Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair have not defended the titles on WWE television since their victory over The Unholy Union on the September 9 edition of RAW.
