On the latest episode of WWE NXT, Cedric Alexander was involved in a singles match against Trick Williams. This was his first televised match in 88 days since he lost to Bron Breakker in 13 seconds on the April 26 episode of SmackDown.
After the bell rang, Trick took down Alexander with a shoulder tackle and hit a few chops in the corner. Cedric returned the favor and hit a few chops of his own. The former WWE NXT Champion turned things around and hit his opponent with several strikes in the corner, followed by a dropkick.
Cedric Alexander also hit Trick Williams with a kick and slammed him on the apron. The two stars exchanged strikes in the ring and took each other down simultaneously with a big boot. They exchanged more strikes, and Trick took out the former Cruiserweight Champion with a pop-up right hand.
Trick Williams hit a flat liner and a big kick but only got a two-count. Cedric Alexander caught him with a Phantom Driver for another nearfall. Trick pulled out a Uranage and went for the cover, but Cedric kicked out.
In the end, he hit the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion with a kick in the corner, followed by the jumping knee to win the match.
