A former WWE Superstar recently shared a social media update suggesting she is open to reuniting with her former tag team partner. The duo disbanded 13 years ago in 2011.
In a recent interview, former Women's Champion Layla stated that she would love to return to come back to the Stamford-based wrestling promotion to reunite with former tag team partner, Michelle McCool. The popular duo, called LayCool, was highly successful back in the day, with both the stars holding championship gold even simultaneously at one point.
Michelle McCool recently took to Instagram Stories to share her reaction to Layla's statement. The 44-year-old posted a graphic with a one-word message while also mentioning WWE and her former ally.
"Flawless @wwe @laylayel," she wrote.

LayCool member opens up about a potential WWE return
After LayCool disbanded, Layla defeated Michelle McCool in a 'Loser Leaves WWE Match' at Extreme Rules 2011, which turned out to be the latter's last match as a full-time performer. Layla, however, remained a vital member of the women's roster until her departure in 2015.
In a recent interview with No Name Wrestling, Layla claimed she is open to returning to the squared circle. However, the 47-year-old stated that she was reluctant to do so, as she wanted a break from professional wrestling.
“Yeah, now there is [a chance],” Layla responded. “Before, absolutely 100 percent no. I was not open to anything. I wanted a break. I wanted to get away. But now, absolutely. Before I get, like, too old, and I can’t come back and do anything. Yeah, one more time."
While Michelle McCool has been featured in three Women's Royal Rumble Matches, the latest being the 2023 edition, Layla has not wrestled a single contest since she departed from the company in 2015. It remains to be seen if the two will return to the wrestling promotion and show up as a duo.
