Former WWE champion reacts to potential surprise Royal Rumble return 

The 2025 Royal Rumble is around the corner. A former WWE star reacted to her making a potential Royal Rumble return.

Mickie James was one of the biggest stars of the women's division during the mid- to late 2000s. During her tenure with World Wrestling Entertainment, she accomplished a lot. She is a multi-time Women's Champion. After leaving World Wrestling Entertainment in 2010, she returned to TNA, only to return to the Stamford-based promotion in 2016. After her second run ended, James returned as a surprise participant in the 2022 Royal Rumble match, representing TNA as the Knockouts Champion.

Given that the Royal Rumble is around the corner, fans expect a few former WWE stars to make a surprise return. Dongseong Shin from Ring the Belle posted his picks of wrestlers who could make a surprise return during the 2025 Royal Rumble. One of his picks was Mickie James.

The former Women's Champion caught wind of this and reacted to it on social media.

Mickie James recently teased a WWE return

Mickie James was one of the most popular stars on the WWE roster. James had prominent runs in both World Wrestling Entertainment and TNA. Although she doesn't compete as frequently these days, fans are still eager to watch her step back into the ring.

A fan recently posted on social media that he hoped to see Mickie compete again in either TNA or the Stamford-based promotion. Mickie James responded to the fan with a tease that it could happen.

"I think we might could make that happen…🤠," she wrote.
