WWE is currently on tour in Japan where they hosted multiple live events across Tokyo and Osaka. The shows were filled with memorable matches and moments, with a former champion snapping his 61-match losing streak.

The star in question was Japan's very own, Shinsuke Nakamura. The King of Strong Style faced Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles in a Triple-Threat Match at Osaka's show where he was on the losing end. However, on Friday in Tokyo, Nakamura joined forces with LA Knight and Kevin Owens to defeat Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa of The Bloodline.

This was also the former Intercontinental Champion's first house show win in over a year. Nakamura last won a match on the live circuit on 30 April 2023 when he defeated LA Knight. The King of the Strong Style lost 61 untelevised matches on the trot before his victory on Friday.

Shinsuke Nakamura has not wrestled on WWE television in over three months

Before joining WWE, Shinsuke Nakamura was one of the biggest names in the Japanese pro wrestling fraternity. However, after a hot start in NXT, the King of Strong Style has faded into the shadows and rarely features on television programming these days.

Nakamura's last TV appearance was back in April when he lost to Sheamus. He has also not won a televised match since February.

Fans had high hopes for Shinsuke Nakamura after Triple H took over the keys to the WWE's creative department. While the star was involved in a few hot feuds against the likes of Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes, he failed to rack any victory against the two, further diminishing his credibility. Nakamura is now mostly used as an enhancement talent to put over other stars.
