Former WWE Superstar CJ Perry recently shared an emotional update on social media. Reacting to the 39-year-old's post, Nikki Cross sent a heartwarming message to the former Lana.
Perry was released from the Stamford-based company in 2021, nearly a year after her then-husband Miro (fka Rusev) signed a contract with AEW. She also joined her husband in the Jacksonville-based wrestling promotion in 2023. However, the couple separated later the same year.
CJ Perry recently took to X/Twitter to reveal that her 93-year-old grandfather was suffering from cancer. She requested fans to pray for him. Former RAW Women's Champion Nikki Cross replied to the tweet, sending a heartfelt message to Perry:
"❤️🙏🙏❤️so sorry to hear this, thinking of you and your family. He sounds wonderful❤️," she wrote.

Nikki Cross has been absent from WWE television for some time now. The last time the 34-year-old competed in a televised match was on the November 6, 2023, edition of Monday Night RAW.
The former Money in the Bank winner participated in the Battle Royal to determine the number one contender for the Women's World Championship at Survivor Series: WarGames 2023.

Despite her departure from WWE, CJ Perry seemingly shares a healthy relationship with several superstars signed with the company. She congratulated Damian Priest for winning the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania.
The Archer of Infamy cashed in his Money in the Bank contract at The Show of Shows. The Judgment Day member pinned Drew McIntyre after the latter defeated Seth Rollins to become the new champion.
Amid rumors of her linkup with the 41-year-old, CJ Perry took to Instagram to congratulate Damian Priest for his triumph at The Showcase of Immortals. She thanked her fans for their support as she posted multiple pictures with several current and former WWE Superstars:
"Big Congratulations to @archerofinfamy for cashing in at #Wrestlemania !!!! To see a cash in at 'Mania after 9 years was EPIC !!! Wrestlecon & #Wrestlemania was a BLAST !!!! Thank you to all the fans that came out to my signings & parties !!! You all are the best fans ever and I love you all so much !!!! @ricflairnatureboy & @nicnemeth always making me laugh at our signings 🤣," she wrote.
Perry has been absent from AEW since her devastating hand injury in December. It remains to be seen what the future holds for the former WWE Superstar.
