Former WWE champion sends a threat to Sami Zayn; promises to dethrone him

The latest edition of WWE RAW saw Sami Zayn and Bron Breakker come face-to-face in the ring again. The latter was unhappy with his loss to the veteran at Money in the Bank a few nights earlier.

The former NXT Champion showed his true colors as he repeatedly Speared Zayn after pretending to leave the ring. He attacked him again on the floor outside the ring to make a statement. Later on, Sami tried to save Ilja Dragunov from Breakker but was assaulted once again.

Following his actions, Bron Breakker took to RAW Talk to vent his frustration. He said that he would make sure that fans started believing in him.

"Look, I have Sami Zayn and the Intercontinental Championship exactly where I want them to be... He defeated me in my biggest match in my entire career on my very first PLE. God forbid, Sami Zayn, a WrestleMania main-eventer, defeats me, a rookie, in my very first PLE. God forbid. You know what? Something’s funny. I’ve been listening to all you people out there doubt me. All you people say, ‘Oh, man, Bron fumbled the bag so bad, how’s he ever gonna recover?’” the former WWE champion said.

Bron added that he would beat down the Intercontinental Champion Stenier-style. He’ll do anything necessary to win the Intercontinental Title.

"I’ll tell you how. Because I know who I am. I’m the dog. I am the bada** around here, built upon effort, attitude, and toughness. I am willing to scratch and claw and give everything that I have in my being to get back to Sami Zayn and win the Intercontinental Championship. Don’t get it twisted. Yes, the marquee, the poster, it says Bron Breakker, but Sami Zayn, I’m about to whip your a** like a Steiner and take that Intercontinental Championship." [H/T Fightful]

Bron is Rick Steiner’s son and Scott Steiner’s nephew. The Steiner Brothers were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2022.

Sami Zayn could lose his title at WWE SummerSlam

Sami defeated the mighty Gunther to win the Intercontinental Championship at WWE WrestleMania XL.

However, Sami’s reign hasn’t been as eventful as many would have liked it to be. His rivalry with Bron Breakker could change that for the better, as the two men have already had a great first match.

The second match in their rivalry could take place at SummerSlam, where WWE could put the title on Breakker. It would be the only right move, especially after the former NXT Champion had to take the loss from the veteran at WWE Money in the Bank.
