This week’s episode of WWE RAW saw R-Truth being confronted by the 31-year-old Pete Dunne. The former World Tag Team Champion had offended the star recently by overstepping a boundary. Interestingly, former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston stepped in to take on Pete Dunne if he had issues with Truth.

Dunne lost a highly physical feud with Sheamus in a Donnybrook match. One of the reasons Dunne fought The Celtic Warrior was the fact that the latter constantly called him ‘Butch,’ a name Pete despises. Notably, R-Truth called him using the same name recently, getting on the bad side of The Bruiserweight.

This week on RAW, Kofi Kingston spoke to R-Truth and thanked him for helping them in their match against Authors of Pain. He also apologized to him for not aiding him against The Final Testament, stating that his tag team partner, Xavier Woods, had stopped him from intervening. Following this, Woods approached them, wanting to know what they were talking about.

Before Kofi could speak, Pete Dunne barged in and demanded why Truth was calling him ‘Butch’ when he knew he hated that name. Kofi didn’t like this, and The Bruiserwight asked if he had a problem. The New Day member said that if someone had a problem with Truth, they had a problem with him.

With this, both men agreed to settle things in the ring. However, Woods, who is avoiding all unnecessary battles now, disapproved of the match. However, since the former WWE Champion was determined to help R-Truth, Woods stormed off.

When Dunne went away, the former tag team champ wished him luck against Pete but asked him to watch out for Butch.

This decision to mend things with Truth, however, caused his issues with Woods to get even bigger. Despite this, the 11-time WWE Tag Team Champion tried to help his teammate and attacked Dunne when he fell outside the ring. This angered Kingston, who didn't want him to get involved.

While The New Day members argued, The Bruiserwight recovered, catching Kofi off-guard to win the match. Xavier Woods and Kingston were seen arguing even more after the match. It would be interesting to see what lies ahead for The New Day.
