The historic WWE RAW debut on Netflix featured John Cena's massive return, to kick-off his Farewell Tour. The Franchise Player, during his enthusiastic promo on the red brand, teased winning the world title one more time, to etch his name in the history books as a 17-time world champion.
John Cena announced his participation in the Men's Royal Rumble match, which could eventually pave the way for him into the world championship scene. During the promo, the legend stated that while it was highly unlikely that he would win his 17th world title, he did not want to shy away from trying.
During the WWE RAW Post-Show, Big E addressed the massive announcement from Cena and stated that the legend could enter the Royal Rumble match at Number 1.
"I feel like he’s a guy who’s gonna push himself. I’m gonna say 1," stated Big E.
Further, Wade Barrett addressed Big E's comments and stated that there was no chance Cena would win the Rumble match if he entered before 25. An entry after 25 could lead to the legend adding another accolade to his name.
"For me, if John Cena has any chance of winning the Royal Rumble, he has to get in at 25 or later. Anything before that, no chance. He’s not winning," stated Wade Barrett.
John Cena also addressed his post-retirement plans in WWE
Following his retirement from WWE, John Cena has cleared that he has no plans to leave the company. Rather, he would be back with the Stamford-based company whenever he can.
The 16-time world champion stated during the Post-Show Press Conference that he would be an ambassador in the company after hanging up his boots and ending his highly-anticipated Farewell Tour.
While there are multiple shoes that Cena could fill following his retirement, being an ambassador will be the perfect role for the Franchise Player. Time will tell what the company has in store for him next.
