A former WWE champion recently won his first match after nearly three months. The name in question is SmackDown Superstar Baron Corbin.
The former WWE United States Champion was drafted to the blue brand earlier this year. However, he has wrestled only once on television since. The 39-year-old lost to Carmelo Hayes in the first-round match of the King of the Ring Tournament on the May 10 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.
Corbin's last win in WWE was in the successful title defense against Axiom and Nathan Frazer at NXT Stand and Deliver in April. However, The Wolf Dogs lost the NXT Tag Team Championship to the same opponents three days later. The former Authority figure lost to Lexis King in his next match, which was also his last in-ring appearance at the developmental brand.
The Lone Wolf finally won a match after three months as he defeated Angelo Dawkins of The Street Profits in a singles match on WWE Speed earlier today. The two put forth a fast-paced contest that ended with Corbin nailing his opponent with the End of Days to secure the win with just 12 seconds out of the allotted three minutes remaining.

Popular WWE Superstar opens up about his alliance with Baron Corbin
Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker joined forces to form The Wolf Dogs earlier this year. The duo formed a successful pairing and even won the NXT Tag Team Championship by defeating Channing Lorenzo and Tony D'Angelo.
During a conversation with The Ringer Wrestling Show, Bron Breakker opened up about his relationship with Baron Corbin. The 26-year-old explained how the former Money in the Bank winner helped him bring out his more entertaining side.
"[Baron] and I had hit it off from the get-go. As soon as he came down to NXT, we hit it off immediately. It was really cool for me to be able to get to work with him because, obviously, it brought out a different side of me where I was being a little bit more entertaining, just being funny, just goofing off. And we both were just loving it and having a great time," he said. [H/T: The Ringer]
Bron Breakker is currently involved in a heated rivalry with Sami Zayn. The Intercontinental Champion successfully defended his title against the former NXT star at Money in the Bank. The latter, however, got his revenge as he speared Zayn twice on RAW.
