If AJ Lee returns to the squared circle in 2025, there isn't a shadow of a doubt that it will draw huge numbers. As World Wrestling Entertainment's weekly shows are moving to the Netflix streaming platform in mere days, Lee's potential comeback after retiring from in-ring competition a decade ago makes sense because of her involvement with Netflix.

AJ Lee, real name AJ Mendez, has predominantly worked as a screenwriter since retiring from wrestling but had a stint with WOW (Women of Wrestling) between 2021 and 2023. She co-wrote the Netflix feature film Blade of the 47 Ronin and has another gig in progress.

While conversing with Freddie Prinze Jr. on Wrestling with Freddie, the former WWE Divas Champion touched upon her experience with WOW and doing color commentary. While talking about it, she noted that offers to wrestle have come, but she never felt like it was the right time:

"Wrestling opportunities have popped up over the years and I've just never been ready for that," she addressed her return as an in-ring competitor. "I'm not sure like physically whether that fire is there. But the art of it has always been there." [From 29:01 to 29:16]

Lee also spoke in-depth about her love for wrestling during the aforementioned interview, and how the business saved her life. Longtime fans of WWE have been buzzing about AJ Lee possibly showing up on February 1, 2025, at the Royal Rumble event. Her husband, CM Punk, has also brought up her name now and again, never closing the door for a return.

AJ Lee is set to appear for the Big Event EXS show in March 2025

Along with several other wrestling personalities, AJ Lee will be part of the Big Event EXS show (Entertainment and Sports Expo) on March 15, 2025. Lee was confirmed on Facebook a few days ago as one of the marquee guests for the autograph event, which will take place at Suffolk Credit Union Arena in Brentwood, New York.

Some of the other athletes who will be part of it are former WWE Superstar Mandy Rose, WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam, NXT's Lola Vice, and AEW TBS and New Japan Strong Women's Champion Mercedes Mone, among others.
