Rumors of a major WWE star potentially jumping ship to AEW have been making the rounds of late. However, veteran journalist Bill Apter believes the rumors are baseless.

The star in question, Natalya, had recently been on the verge of her contract expiring. While the latest report claims that Triple H has already locked in the veteran in another contract, many were speculating that her lack of screentime in the company could lead to her considering a switch to the Jacksonville-based promotion.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine hosted by Mac Davis, Bill Apter downplayed the rumors and stated:

"I don't buy it at all. I think she's totally loyal to WWE. Totally loyal. Again, it's a rumor. I can't see it. She's been WWE for so many years. That company has taken great care of her. She's been dedicated to that company, and you know the whole lineage of the Hart family. Other than the Owen Hart tournament going on in AEW, it has been WWE." [5:26 onwards]

Vince Russo has also spoken about Natalya possibly leaving WWE for AEW

While Bill Apter does not believe that Natalya would consider moving to All Elite Wrestling, Vince Russo thinks there may be a chance of it happening.

Speaking on Writing with Russo, the former WWE head writer explained that Natalya may want better booking for her and that could lead to her joining Tony Khan's promotion.

"Because she [Natalya] feels she didn't get her just in the WWE. Yeah, yeah, that's why she would want to go to AEW." [From 09:16 to 09:26]

He further added:

"She knows things in WWE will never change. She knows that," admitted the former WWE head writer. [From 09:28 to 09:40]

As of now, it remains to be seen what Natalya plans to do next.
