Former WWE manager compares Austin Theory to WCW legend; not sure about his face turn 

Former WWE manager Jim Cornette recently spoke about Austin Theory. The 26-year-old star and Grayson Waller, collectively known as A-Town Down Under, are former WWE Tag Team Champions on Friday Night SmackDown.

For the last few weeks, WWE has been teasing a face turn for Theory. The former United States Champion has been taking the fall for Grayson Waller for weeks at this point while trying to save his partner from physical harm. Even his former friend, Johnny Gargano, told him that Waller was using him only for his advantage.

During a recent episode of the Jim Cornette Experience podcast, the 62-year-old veteran mentioned that Austin Theory reminded him of WCW legend Lex Luger. He pointed out that the young star had a textbook heelish look and was great for his age. Cornette, however, was not sure how well the 26-year-old star would function as a babyface.

"Theory to me is like Luger was when he started. Not work wise, but he's so big, he's got such a good body, he's got such a f*****g not only a nice face but an arrogant smile, and he's so good at what he does at such a young age. He's a natural heel. I don't know if I see him as a babyface. We'll find out," Jim Cornette said. [1:03 - 1:28]

Austin Theory and Grayson Waller were in action on WWE SmackDown

During the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller decided to gang up on Cody Rhodes. This set up a tag team match for the show's main event.

Cody found Kevin Owens as a partner and the two stars took on A-Town Down Under. KO and Cody cleaned house and finally picked up the win with a Stunner on Waller and Cross Rhodes on Theory.

It will be interesting to see if more cracks develop between Austin Theory and Grayson Waller after their recent loss.
