Former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon once had a tough conversation with Randy Orton. Stevie Richards recently broke down the discussion between the two and shared his thoughts on the same.

Randy Orton recently spoke to Sportskeeda Wrestling about the Vince McMahon regime. The Viper recalled when he asked for time off from his former boss to recuperate from his back issues, and McMahon quickly shut him down.

During a recent episode of Wrestling Shoot Interviews, Stevie Richards mentioned that Orton has become a legend in the business at this point. He felt Vince McMahon was being shortsighted when he wanted The Viper to work through the pain and denied him time off.

Richards felt that things in the company have become better over the years, with talent getting much-needed breaks to rest and recover.

A female WWE star said her life is in danger. Details HERE

"As always, it's about making money and Randy Orton is a draw and needs to be there. I kinda understand what Vince is saying. But Vince also, it's a bit shortsighted to wear somebody out like Randy Orton, who still works great, looks great, he's literally a legend at this point, and to not take care of a guy like that. We talked about it before, quality over quantity. Vince is just trying, a metaphor for wearing him down to dust or powder. I would say it's gotten better each year or era, depending upon who takes it over as we come in the modern era of wrestling." [1:53 - 2:34]

Randy Orton will be in action at Money in the Bank 2024

Since his return at Survivor Series: WarGames last year, The Viper has been looking to get even with The Bloodline. For those unaware, the heel faction injured him, forcing him to be on the sidelines for over a year.

He will get another opportunity to settle scores with the faction at Money in the Bank next week. Orton will combine forces with Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens to take on the Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline in a six-man tag team match.

This week on SmackDown, the trio laid out the Bloodline during the brawl at the start of the show. It will be interesting to see whether the babyfaces can finish The Bloodline once and for all at Money in the Bank.
