A former WWE Superstar recently posted a controversial picture on social media. He even teased a career change.
When Matt Riddle first joined the Stamford-based promotion, he showed a lot of promise. He came from an MMA background and was incredibly athletic. To make things better, he was also incredibly popular among fans. As a result, Riddle found himself involved in several key gimmicks during his time on the NXT brand. It did not take long for him to impress the higher-ups and he was eventually promoted to the main roster.
On the main roster, he achieved success by winning the United States Championship and even formed a fun tag team with Randy Orton. Riddle was also involved in a massive feud with The Bloodline. Unfortunately, his controversial nature led to his release from the Stamford-based company after he was involved in an incident at the John F. Kennedy International Airport last year.
Although he is no longer part of World Wrestling Entertainment, Matt Riddle continues to be a controversial figure online. An adult entertainment company recently celebrated its 20th anniversary and Riddle thought it was a good idea to post a controversial photo of himself to celebrate the occasion. He also teased a career change in his post on X/Twitter.

Matt Riddle commented on a possible WWE return
Since his release from the Stamford-based promotion, Matt Riddle has been competing in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and Major League Wrestling (MLW). He has wrestled for both promotions in some prominent matches.
While speaking to Jurrrattt at River City Con, The King of Bros stated that he was unsure if a WWE return would happen anytime soon.
"WWE return, you never know. AEW, you never know. Right now, I work a lot with New Japan and MLW. I've been in talks with TNA. I've been in talks with everybody, to be honest. Right now, I'm focusing on myself. I just had a child. I have a six-month year old son, plus three other kids. My twin girls are 14 and my other son is 11. I have quite the roster," Matt Riddle said.
It will be interesting to see whether Riddle will return to WWE in the future or if he will head to AEW.
