WWE Superstars often enjoy long tenures once they establish themselves. However, the company regularly trims its roster of stars when their contracts expire. Notably, one such name was released on April 19, 2024, but has returned to pro wrestling.
Daniel Vidot, who went by the ring name Xyon Quinn, recently ended his 90-day non-compete clause with WWE. The star had asked his fans where they would like to see him perform next. Interestingly, it seems that the 34-year-old has moved to TNA Impact.
By the end of his contract with the Stamford-based company, Vidot had almost zero bookings. In addition, the only match he participated in this year saw him demolished by Bron Breakker in six seconds on March 1, 2024.
Interestingly, while he is back on TNA after 155 days of that defeat, another superstar who was released along with him recently made his debut outside WWE as well.
Former WWE Champion receives a massive pop after he returns to the ring
Jinder Mahal was released alongside Xyon and others before this year’s annual Draft. The Maharaja ended his 90-day non-compete clause and debuted at Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) on July 19, 2024.
Now, as Raj Dhesi, which is stylized around his real name, Yuvraj Singh Dhesi, he attacked Effy on GCW while wearing a mask.
When Dhesi removed his mask, the crowd went berserk with “Holy S**t” chants and gave him a huge pop. The Maharaja also generated a lot of reactions from several wrestlers across different promotions after his debut outside the Stamford-based promotion.
It would be interesting to see how Dhesi and Vidot's careers unfold at their new wrestling destinations.
