The WWE Universe has generally praised Triple H for how he's led the company and improved the product in the past few years. After recent behind-the-scenes transparency, one veteran wrestler and personality is revealing how he was shocked at what The Game recently admitted.
Cody Rhodes won the 2024 Royal Rumble and went on to dethrone Roman Reigns of the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania XL, but that was not always the plan. The recent WrestleMania XL: Behind The Curtain documentary revealed how Triple H had no major plan in place for The American Nightmare ahead of WrestleMania before Reigns vs. The Rock was nixed in favor of Rhodes vs. Reigns. This revelation surprised many people, including veteran talent Jonathan Coachman.

Coach is close to The Final Boss, and told Busted Open Radio that he thinks the documentary was likely delayed due to significant editing by The Rock. The 50-year-old commented on how he felt about the situation surrounding Cody.
"I was shocked to see that, as of basically the day of the Royal Rumble, ... that Triple H didn't even have a plan for Cody Rhodes," Jonathan Coachman said. [H/T to WrestlingInc]

The documentary implied The Rock happily backed out of the match due to fan reactions, but Coachman doesn't think the decision came that easy. The former RAW commentator also believes The Final Boss could return to the frontlines to lead WWE into what may be the biggest year in company history.
Triple H welcomes new WWE commentator
WWE recently announced ESPN's Joe Tessitore would be joining the blue brand's commentary team this summer. The 53-year-old works for ESPN and ABC, with roles on shows including Top Rank Boxing and Holey Moley. He also worked Monday Night Football in the past.
The 31-year veteran will begin working as a play-by-play commentator for World Wrestling Entertainment later this summer. Triple H took to X to welcome the New York native.
"Joe is an absolute pro with incredible energy behind the mic, and is the perfect addition to our already star-studded announce team. Thrilled to welcome @JoeTessESPN to @WWE this summer," Triple H wrote.
The company announced that Tessitore will join Corey Graves and Wade Barrett at the announce desk on the blue brand. It was also confirmed that Michael Cole and Pat McAfee will stay together.
