New Year's Day is almost here, and one former WWE Superstar isn't too happy with the Stamford-based promotion. "Furious" over how he has been treated since his exit, he has taken a cheeky dig at Triple H & Co. with a hilarious post.
The former WWE star in question is Trevor Lee. Better known to the fans as Cameron Grimes, Lee was released by the company earlier this year, which led to a heartbreaking situation.
Lee took to Instagram and shared an emotional video of himself announcing that the company had let him go. However, he also made it clear that he was grateful for the opportunities he had been given and everything he had done during his tenure.
Now, it seems he is a tad bit annoyed with the Triple H-led promotion. Taking to X, Lee shared a screenshot from a Mark Henry tweet in which the legend showcased a card the Stamford-based promotion sent to him ahead of New Year's despite his former ties with AEW. You can see the post here.
He is likely just messing around, but Lee shared the screenshot along with a caption, claiming that he felt honored to be appreciated.
"Got this in the mail today. Honored to be appreciated. Happy New Year!" wrote Trevor Lee.
Lee has discussed the possibility of returning to the company one day. But for now, he's just having a bit of fun.
Triple H and WWE are all set to enter a new era with RAW on Netflix
WWE's first major show of 2025 will be RAW on Netflix. Although it may seem like the regularly scheduled programming fans are used to on Monday nights, Triple H & Co. have made it a special one. After all, it will mark the start of the company's transition from television to streaming.
With that in mind, the show is scheduled to be almost like a PLE. The episode will feature some blockbuster matches, including Seth Rollins versus CM Punk and Roman Reigns versus Solo Sikoa. In addition to this, several WWE legends are expected to be in attendance, and there might even be some unexpected returns as well.
All in all, it is being built up as an incredible show. Now, all that's left is to see if it lives up to the hype.
