The Undertaker, real name Mark Calaway, made a lot of close friends in the wrestling business in the 1990s. Henry O. Godwinn, a member of the backstage BSK group, recently recalled how he once fought The Deadman in a hotel room.
The BSK (Bone Street Krew) consisted of Crush, The Godfather, Henry O. Godwinn, Mideon, Mr. Fuji, Paul Bearer, Rikishi, Savio Vega, The Undertaker, and Yokozuna. Although they never formed an on-screen alliance, the group of friends hung out together behind the scenes.
On Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw, Godwinn disclosed details of a light-hearted fight he had with the WWE Hall of Famer at a hotel:
"We jumped him pretty good, tore his room up. We thought we were okay, and we got back and walking in our room, and here he comes. The lamps turned over. He had a coffee pot and a hairdryer. It was getting crazy. He beat the s**t out of us!" [0:36 – 0:54]
Charlotte Flair to return and wrestle a CURRENT CHAMPION?
Godwinn worked for WWE between 1994 and 1998. He was one of many BSK members who attended The Undertaker's Final Farewell ceremony at Survivor Series 2020.
The Undertaker requested to work with Henry O. Godwinn
On January 10, 1995, The Deadman defeated Henry O. Godwinn at a WWE Superstars taping. He picked up another victory against his friend in an untelevised match on January 24, 1995.
In 2021, Godwinn said in an interview on The Hannibal TV that the former WWE Champion wanted to face him again:
"I worked with 'Taker. We had a hell of a match one night on RAW [WWE Superstars]. He came back and thanked me and said, 'We're gonna do more stuff together.' I started riding with him and Paul [Bearer] and then Yoko [Yokozuna] and Rikishi and then Godfather came and Tex [Mideon] came and Savio [Vega]. That's how the BSK started."
The Undertaker recently announced he has launched a podcast, Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway, on Patreon.
