With Triple H steering the ship, several stars have now expressed their desire to return to WWE. The latest to do so is WCW veteran, Konnan.

The 60-year-old legend, who currently serves as the booker for Mexican promotion AAA, has been in the wrestling business for over 30 years. Konnan also made sporadic appearances for WWE back in 1992. However, he infamously left the Stamford-based promotion citing his issues with Vince McMahon.

Last year, Konnan inducted his long-time friend and former protégé, Rey Mysterio, into the WWE Hall of Fame. Since then, he has been heavily linked with a potential run with the LWO. Speaking on the Keepin' It 100 podcast, Konnan was asked about the rumors of the Lucha Brothers jumping ship to WWE and whether the AEW duo would fit in the LWO.

The WCW veteran said Triple H could put Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo in LWO since the company hasn't been using the faction prominently. Konnan also confirmed he would be interested in returning to WWE if they put Lucha Bros in the faction:

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

"Yeah, they could use them [Lucha Brothers], that's for sure because they're [LWO] really not happening even after what happened yesterday on RAW, and if they [Lucha Brothers] were in it and they asked me to come back, yes," Konnan said.

AAA booker went on to explain how he would book Fenix and Penta in the Stamford-based promotion:

"They're kind of easy to book because one's super charismatic, and the other one's incredible wrestler, you know, it almost reminds me of a different version of Eddie Guerrero and Love Machine. I mean, I just put them in a good feud with some good heels and get them over," he added. (0:57 - 1:24)

Booker T optimistic about the idea of the Lucha Brothers joining WWE

During a recent episode of the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T reacted to the speculation on Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo making the switch.

The 5-time WCW Champion called the Lucha Bros. "extraordinary talent" and said he would like to see them on the main roster:

"I love it! Bring the Lucha brothers in. Put them on the main roster. You can let them cut through NXT and stuff. Those guys are extraordinary talent. Give them a chance," he said.

While Penta would be contractually free by next month, the same cannot be said for Fenix. As per the reports, Tony Khan has an option to add injury time to his contract, which could delay the Lucha Bros' rumored WWE debut.
