Former WWE Superstar Matt Riddle is no stranger to controversies. The 38-year-old finds himself in the middle of yet another dispute as he faces accusations from a wrestling promoter.
In a recent Facebook post, World Classic Professional Big Time Wrestling's Dillon Hines accused The Original Bro of demanding an additional $2,000 for an event despite the initial agreement being $8,000. He added that Riddle skipped a scheduled meet and greet. Hines threatened to take legal action, stating he would never work with the former WWE Superstar again.
While Matt Riddle has yet to make a public statement, his girlfriend, Misha Montana, came to his defense with a series of X (fka Twitter) posts, which she deleted later, noting that the former WWE United States Champion had already refunded the alleged extra $2,000. She also threatened Hines with legal action. However, the latter responded to the threat with another Facebook post, claiming he would counter-sue. “Don’t make false accusations to someone that has screenshots that back up their statements. Feel free to sue, but I’ll be counter-suing for everything,” he wrote.

Matt Riddle opens up about his wrestling schedule following WWE departure
Matt Riddle returned to the indies after his WWE release. Although he is signed to Major League Wrestling, The Original Bro often features on shows of several other promotions as well.
Speaking on the Barstool Rasslin' podcast earlier this year, Riddle mentioned that his wrestling schedule had relaxed since his exit from the global juggernaut. The former UFC star claimed he feels like a free agent with much value thanks to his work in WWE and UFC.
"Yeah, you know what? Honestly, my schedule is a lot more loose. And I'm my own boss now. For so long, I was an independent contractor, working for WWE. But I was still like an employee there, kind of like the UFC. I feel like now, for the first time, a free agent, with a lot of value behind my name, having done the WrestleManias, RK-Bro, working MLW, plus with the UFC background," Riddle said.
