WWE sees the arrival and departure of several superstars every year. While many achieve massive success in the Stamford-based promotion, some reach great heights after walking away. Interestingly, a superstar recently sent a message to two-time Hall of Famer Booker T regarding a special pro wrestling appearance.

After leaving WWE in 2020, Matt Cardona has become one of the most renowned stars in the independent wrestling circuit. Currently signed to the TNA, the former Zack Ryder recently hosted a Q&A session on X. One of the fans asked him if he would ever return to Reality of Wrestling (ROW).

In response, Cardona tagged Booker T, the founder of ROW, in his tweet. His answer hinted at a future match in the promotion.

“I think I need to for redemption. Right @BookerT5x?” he wrote.

Notably, Matt Cardona was previously featured in a singles match on the promotion.

That night, he faced Kenny King and fought the match with a torn pec. Despite this, he won.

Cardona's tweet suggests he may return to ROW for its Redemption pay-per-view. Interestingly, while Cardona addressed Booker T for this ROW appearance, another legend has also expressed his desire to compete with him.

WWE legend puts Matt Cardona above Rob Van Dam

WWE and ECW legend Sabu recently appeared in a podcast interview with Conversation with The Wrestling Classic. The veteran was asked about competing in a death match.

While Sabu noted that he was scheduled to fight Rob Van Dam in an upcoming match, he would rather fight Matt Cardona instead.

“If all else fails, [I'll face] Van Dam, but to me, that's too predictable. It's too easy. Of course, we're going to have a great match. I want something else. Maybe Matt Cardona in an explosion match when the time is right. Maybe not January, but down the line more," Sabu said.

Currently, Matt Cardona is avoiding any big appearances owing to his injury, but many speculate that he may make a cameo in WWE soon. His wife, Chelsea Green, had also hinted at the possibility of it being in February of this year.
