A WWE Hall of Famer has jokingly claimed that "retirement" is a foreign concept to her. She made her last on-screen appearance at the Payback Premium Live Event in September 2023.

Trish Stratus faced Becky Lynch in a Steel Cage Match at last year's Payback, suffering a loss. Following the match, Stratus' former protege, Zoey Stark, backstabbed her, ending their partnership on WWE TV.

In a chat with Going Ringside during a Q&A panel at the River City Wrestling Con, Stratus and her good friend, Lita, were asked about potentially retiring from in-ring competition.

The Canadian legend declared that she did not know the meaning of "retirement." Trish Stratus disclosed that she and The Extreme Diva remained prepared for any potential opportunity to compete inside the squared circle.

"Retirement? What is retirement? I'm not familiar with this word. I don't know anything about this word. We just stay ready. That's a general statement that we [Stratus and Lita] like to live by, just in case," she said. [H/T: Fightful]

WWE veteran Lita explains why never retiring is a good idea

Lita and Stratus are often credited with taking women's pro wrestling to great heights. The duo have been part of numerous high-profile matches and storylines in their careers.

The Extreme Diva teamed up with Lynch and the 48-year-old at WrestleMania 39 to defeat Dakota Kai, Bayley, and IYO SKY.

During the same conversation, the former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion discussed the reason behind not hanging up her wrestling boots.

"Which is good because you don't usually have a lot of heads-up on what you're doing or what the plan is, and if you did, it most likely will change. I kind of informed myself to never get too excited until you walk through the curtain. It could change five times between when you're presented with an idea to when it's executed," Lita said. A recent report has suggested that Trish Stratus will be part of the 'In-Venue Pre-Show Hospitality' at Money in the Bank 2024. Fans will have to wait and see whether the WWE Hall of Famer will make an on-screen appearance on the show.
