There comes a time in every WWE Superstar's life when they have to walk away from the business for good. Former World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle made up his mind almost six years ago and has stood firm on his decision to this day.
Kurt Angle hasn't laced up his boots since retiring against Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35. He has often gone on record to say that he wanted to end his in-ring career against John Cena. With the Cenation Leader kicking off his Farewell Tour at WWE Royal Rumble this year, many fans have been wondering whether the Olympic gold medalist would step out of retirement to face his rival one last time.
Speaking on Story Time with Dutch Mantell, Kurt Angle made it clear he won't be coming out of retirement to be a part of John Cena's Farewell Tour.
"I won't be in it, you know what, I get it all the time. People ask me all the time, are you going to be in John Cena tour? No," Angle said.
Angle also reflected on his recent NFL commercial for CBS, in which he stepped back inside the ring. He said it took him almost a month to recover from the after-effects of the match.
"Listen, I just did a commercial for CBS where I wrestled in the ring against, he was a broadcaster, a sportscaster, Kyle Brandt...He decided to do a wrestling match against me because he was representing the Ravens and I was representing the Steelers. And so there was a big matchup that week...And we ended up having a tie in the match. But when I did that match, I was so sore the next day, and my back went out of place. And it took me a good month for my back to go back into place. And I thought, 'Man, I can't do that stuff anymore,'" Angle added. [51:02 - 52:14]

Will Kurt Angle return to WWE TV?
Kurt Angle last appeared on WWE TV during the January 23, 2023, episode of RAW, where he served as a special guest referee for a Six Man Tag Team Match.
Almost two years on from his last appearance, the Wrestling Machine said he has no interest in getting back on WWE television in any capacity.
"No. You know what, Dutch, I'm at a point in life where I'm okay. I don't need to do that anymore. I don't need to prove who I was or add anything to my legacy. I've had a pretty damn good career and I'm proud of it," said Angle.
Angle was recently inducted into the International Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame. With his wrestling days behind him, he seems to be enjoying his post-retirement life.
