Hulk Hogan is widely viewed as one of the greatest WWE Superstars ever. In a recent interview, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer gave his quickfire thoughts on several past and present wrestlers while playing a word association game.

Hogan has shared the ring with some of WWE's most well-known names, from Andre the Giant and Roddy Piper to The Rock and The Undertaker. The 70-year-old has also participated in segments with some of today's top talents, including Roman Reigns.

During an appearance on The Outbound Life, Hogan named Andre the Giant as "the greatest of all time." The Hulkster went on to list Steve Austin and Ric Flair in second and third place, respectively, on his list of all-time greats. When asked about his WrestleMania 18 opponent, The Rock, he paused for a few seconds before replying:

Hulk Hogan described Triple H as "honest" and Roddy Piper as a "good friend." He also praised the Rhodes family, using the word "best" for Dusty and "greatness" for Cody.

Hulk Hogan's history with The Rock

As Hulk Hogan did not elaborate on using the word "gimmick" for The Rock, it is unclear whether his response was meant as praise or criticism.

In 2002, the two men went head-to-head at WrestleMania 18 in one of the most memorable matches in WWE history. Hogan entered the event as a heel against the babyface Rock. However, they switched personas early on in the bout after fans made it clear they wanted to cheer The Hulkster.

The Rock won the 16-minute match, billed as Icon vs. Icon, before defeating Hogan again a year later at No Way Out 2003.
