Veteran wrestler Goldberg recently revealed his undying desire to wrestle one final match. In the wake of his blockbuster announcement, former WWE Superstar Ryback has challenged the former WCW World Champion to a retirement match.

Goldberg quietly parted ways with WWE after losing to the then Universal Champion Roman Reigns at the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event in 2022. Shortly after his contract expired, the WCW icon claimed that Vince McMahon promised him his swansong.

However, the lawsuit against Mr. McMahon and the recent regime change in WWE have spoiled The Myth's impending retirement plans. He has since been on the hunt for his last hurrah.

Ryback, who hasn't been seen in any wrestling capacity since 2018, recently challenged the former Universal Champion to a retirement match. Earlier today, The Big Guy took to his official X (Twitter) handle to lay out another challenge to Da Man to a match in Las Vegas, which will play host to WrestleMania in 2025.

"Las Vegas is a hell of a place to get retired in," Ryback wrote.

Will Goldberg return to WWE anytime soon?

Speaking on the Busted Open podcast, the six-foot-four-inch legend from Georgia made it clear that he doesn't need WWE or AEW to have his final match.

Goldberg said he was open to the idea of self-promoting his retirement tour overseas.

"It wouldn't have to be with anyone [WWE or AEW]. I could do it myself and accomplish what I wanted to accomplish, right? I could do the promotion myself Overseas! Do it in Israel, India, or Japan, [or] maybe do one in the States. I don't know. I've thought about a lot of things," he said.

The veteran wrestler recently ruled out a possible AEW run as he thinks its product is " too cheesy." Will Triple H bring him back for one last match on The Grandest Stage of Them All? Only time will tell!
