WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg isn't a part of the Stamford-based promotion anymore, but one former star in particular was a bit upset with the veteran's first WWE run. Recently, three-time Hardcore Champion Maven stated that the former Universal Champion was a jerk due to one solid reason.
In 2003, Bill Goldberg shocked the world with his appearance in Vince McMahon's company. The long-awaited debut finally took place and Goldberg stayed on Monday Night RAW for an entire year. However, the veteran wasn't around as much.
In Maven's recent YouTube video, the three-time Hardcore Champion debunked a few rumors about which stars were jerks behind the scenes. The 47-year-old star said Goldberg was a jerk mainly because he wasn't around much and worked a part-time schedule. Maven has no hard feelings towards Goldberg but he would have liked to see the latter be a part of the roster on the road as well.
"Goldberg came into the company in 2003 and I don't remember many who were excited about his arrival. I don't remember many who thought he was going to actually add much of anything to the show. If I consider Bill [Goldberg] a jerk in any way, it's just the simple fact that he didn't work a full schedule. I wanted to see more of him. I wanted him on the road with us more. But a lot of guys got mad because he strolled in making a few million dollars a year to do limited shows." (From 11:38 to 12:16)

Bill Goldberg hasn't competed for WWE since 2022
A few years ago, WWE made a questionable booking decision with Bill Goldberg when he defeated 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt and won his second Universal Championship. The move didn't sit well with fans and the veteran eventually dropped the title to Braun Strowmana at WrestleMania 36.
Later, the WWE Hall of Famer returned to the company and confronted Roman Reigns for a title rematch, which he never got. The Tribal Chief agreed and the two went head-to-head at Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia.
Many expected Goldberg to compete at WrestleMania 38. However, the WWE Hall of Famer vanished from television and eventually left the company. The former Universal Champion hasn't returned to the promotion in over two years.
