A popular WWE veteran wants WWE to send Goldberg to NXT before pitting him against Gunther. The comment was made by WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long.
Goldberg almost had a face-off with World Heavyweight Champion Gunther at WWE Bad Blood. The confrontation made many fans believe that a match between these two top names was on the cards.
Legendary journalist Bill Apter and WWE veteran Teddy Long had a chat with Mac Davis on this week's edition of The Wrestling Time Machine on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge. The trio discussed Goldberg's confrontation with Gunther at Bad Blood. Teddy Long also shared an interesting idea regarding a possible match between the two stars.

"If they want to do something with him and Gunther, then let him go to NXT. Let him stay down there two or three weeks, get the rust off of him, work with Shawn and some of those guys down there that know what they're doing. You know what I mean? And get it right." [5:06-5:17]
The former Universal Champion last wrestled at WWE Elimination Chamber 2022. That night, he lost to Roman Reigns in a bout for the Universal Title. The idea of a match between him and Gunther has left the wrestling world divided.
