WWE Tag Team Champions Grayson Waller and Austin Theory have things to focus on heading into this week's SmackDown episode set to emanate from Canada, one night removed from Money in the Bank. They will defend their belts against rivals DIY on the blue brand.

Theory's history with Johnny Gragano's old NXT faction The Way has played a crucial role in the ongoing storyline, as the latter has been consistently making efforts to show his former stablemate Waller's true character. Despite teases of a split between the former United States Champion and Waller, the latter has been trying to turn the tables on DIY, who seems to have the champion's number.

Taking to X, Grayson Waller trolled Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa by restricting fans from commenting on a post he made about them. His original claim was that he would write up something good about DIY for every comment made on his post.

The Aussie Icon followed it up with another post one hour later. In it, he mocked DIY and proclaimed that he and Theory are the fan favorites heading into this Friday's SmackDown.

"Wow! An entire hour and not a single comment. Guess we know who the fan faves are for this Friday," Grayson Waller wrote.

Neither Johnny Gargano nor Tommaso Ciampa have won a championship since moving to WWE's main roster. As for the champions, they have not defended their belts very often or had any major program since winning the titles at WrestleMania in April. Whether A-Town Down Under's run ends as soon as this week bears watching.

Triple H is a fan of Grayson Waller and Austin Theory on WWE SmackDown

A-Town Down Under, as they are dubbed as a team, is an unusual tag team that seems to be working quite well. Their inconsistent booking earlier this year led many to wonder whether WWE has decided to stop the duo's push.

But then at WrestleMania XL, Grayson Waller and Austin Theory won the SmackDown Tag Team Titles, which in turn got redesigned and rebranded as the WWE Tag Team Championships.

Triple H took to X immediately following their win and predicted a very entertaining reign for the two young stalwarts:

"I’m confident we still haven’t even scratched the surface on what @graysonwallerwwe and @austin_theory are capable of. This is going to be one entertaining #SmackDown Tag Team Championship reign… #WrestleMania," wrote Triple H.

Triple H and Co. have carefully weaved in a narrative in which Waller is using Theory for his own personal benefit, and their opponents this week have played on the conflict between them in the weeks leading up to their clash. It remains to be seen if things get blown apart between the two.
