Grayson Waller was at the WWE Head Office earlier today, gearing up for the upcoming episode of Friday Night SmackDown. The show will air live from the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts.

For the Australian wrestler, tonight's edition of the blue brand's show is an opportunity to prove that his WrestleMania XL win alongside Austin Theory was not a one-hit-wonder. They lost the title last week to Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa of the DIY in Toronto, Canada.

A-Town Down Under will receive a rematch against DIY tonight on SmackDown. Taking to X (fka Twitter), Waller shared a short clip in which he called Gargano and Ciampa "two dorks" and that he couldn't stand the fact that they were framed on the same wall now, owing to the result of last week's main event Tag Team Championship match.

"But you know what makes me absolutely sick to my stomach? These two dorks [DIY] on the wall now. Ain't gonna be for long lads," he said.

DIY are on their first reign as WWE Tag Team Champions. Waller and Theory will look to humiliate them once and for all by ending their reign in a week.

Which former WWE Champion did Grayson Waller idolize as a teenager?

Grayson Waller wants to step into the ring with AJ Styles. The two got to wrestle in 2022 when the Aussie was part of NXT, but that was not enough for him. In 2023, he brought The Grayson Waller Effect to SmackDown with Styles as his first guest.

During an interview with the Australian Sports Outlet in 2023, Grayson Waller admitted that he was a huge fan of The Phenomenal One. But he couldn't stand the fact that he came out on the losing end in his first clash with the former WWE Champion. Waller believes he proved his worth and brought the fight to the veteran, which made the loss even more difficult for him to digest.

"When I was a teenager, AJ Styles was my favourite wrestler. I got the opportunity to see him on a tour in Sydney when I was probably like 14-15. So I was always a big AJ fan. So he was always number one, and the fact that got to do it in NXT [feud with him] was wild. [...] I need that rematch, lad. I need that so bad. I hate losing. I hate losing so much. I hate the fact that he can say he beat me. So I need to change that," said Waller.

AJ Styles was last seen performing for WWE in Glasgow last month, where he challenged Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in a losing effort in an "I Quit" Match. However, he was recently spotted in Japan with IYO SKY.
