World Heavyweight Champion Gunther successfully defended his title against Damian Priest at the Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 Premium Live Event. The Ring General put his opponent to sleep during the match with his vicious sleeper hold.

After weeks of doubting himself and getting roughed up by Priest, the Austrian star finally picked up a clean victory over The Archer of Infamy. The two stars put on an old-school classic with the fate of the World Heavyweight Championship hanging in the balance.

During the Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 post-show press conference, Gunther joined the panel of Big E, Wade Barrett, and Jackie Redmond to discuss his win. When Barrett asked about getting into Imperium, The Ring General mentioned that the 44-year-old legend was impeccably dressed and could be a good fit for the faction. Wade, who had his last match back in April 2016, appreciated the offer but stated that he was too old to get into the ring.

"We talked about that before around here. Ludwig and I are both under the assumption that Wade would be a very fitting member," Gunther said. [17:47 - 17:58]

WWE Superstar Gunther is proud of Ludwig Kaiser

During the same conversation, Gunther spoke about his Imperium teammate, Ludwig Kaiser, who was part of a brutal Triple Threat Match for the Intercontinental Championship against Bron Breakker and Sheamus at Survivor Series: WarGames 2024.

The Ring General mentioned that Kaiser put up a good fight during his match. Despite Ludwig losing the match, the Austrian star was not angry at him and claimed that he was proud of the 34-year-old star:

"Yeah, it's his first PLE appearance. I'm very happy for him. I think, yes, he hasn't achieved his goal. It's a marathon, not a sprint. He can be very proud of his performance today. He left it all out there. From my side, that's all I can ask for." [17:10 - 17:30]

After this win at Survivor Series: WarGames 2024, The Ring General once again established himself as a dominant champion. It will be interesting to see who stands in his way next as WWE gears up for the new year.
