WWE Superstar Randy Orton has been on top of his game for more than two decades. However, The Viper's win/loss record during the Stamford-based promotion's premium live events has not been great in recent years.
The Legend Killer is one of the most decorated stars in World Wrestling Entertainment. He has won multiple titles during his storied career including 14 World Championships. Orton was looking to add another world title to his name after defeating Gunther at the Bash in Berlin 2024 Premium Live Event. Both stars put on an incredible contest inside the squared circle and for the most part, it was an even bout.
However, The Ring General ultimately emerged victorious, retaining his World Heavyweight Championship by putting Randy Orton in a Sleeper Hold. After the match, the duo shared a moment of respect as they shook hands before the show went off the air.
Gunther has now extended a heartbreaking Randy Orton statistic after Bash in Berlin. It has been 1,239 days since The Apex Predator last won a singles match during a WWE PLE. His last win came against the late Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 37.
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
The Viper would look to break this unfortunate streak as soon as possible.
WWE legend believed Randy Orton was going to make history by defeating Gunther at Bash in Berlin 2024
Before the Bash in Berlin Post-Show Press Conference, WWE legend Michael Cole hailed Randy Orton as one of the greatest names to ever step inside the squared circle.
Cole also mentioned that he believed The Viper might make history by dethroning Gunther and winning his 15th World Championship.
"Randy Orton is one of the all-time greats. I have to say—I have goosebumps right now talking about Randy. I’ve had the opportunity to call most of his matches in his career. He is an unbelievable performer. Since day one, when he arrived on the scene here in WWE, he has dominated. And I thought he would get closer to making history tonight," Michael Cole said.
Many fans believe Randy Orton will still win a few more world titles before hanging up his boots. It will be interesting to see what the Stamford-based promotion has planned for The Apex Predator's future.
